A rocket or mortar round has struck the Italian embassy in Baghdad causing structural damage but no injuries, Italian news agency ANSA reported late on Wednesday.
Witnesses said the missile hit the second floor of the building, ANSA reported.
Italian forces and representatives have been on high alert in Iraq since a suicide attack killed 19 Italians in the southern city of Nassiriya earlier this month.
Last week the US military said they found several rockets stashed in a street close to the Italian embassy in Baghdad.
About 2,300 Italian troops are in southern Iraq, many based in Nassiriya which had been relatively calm since the war. The Italians are part of a British-led multinational force in charge of security in the south of the country

But how could the Moslems do that? It is Ramadan and they are peaceful.

God bless our Italian allies, thankfully no one was killed. Better this takes place in a war zone than on the continent, facilitating the extermination of the perps.

Appreciate the offer, maybe another time. I have a basic understanding on how mortars work, so I could have figured out most of it if I put my mind to it. Gotta run out for a few, so next time. Thanks again for the offer. :)

Aren't the Italians mad at the US because 18 of there people were killed by terrorists? I guess we're responsible for this too.
To: StriperSniper
Firefinder knows where the Iraqi mortar is, but the American artillery can't fire because of the nearby civilians. Funny how we didn't worry about that in WWII.
A few dead mortar crews in civilian backyards and pretty soon they'll know they are safe nowhere and would stop....and civilians might even start SHOOTING the bad guys heaven forbid!!! Ahh but we want them to keep murdering our soldiers I guess....sheesh.

I'm not sure if Hillary is even in Iraq at the moment. I did hear that she will be dining with the troops for Thanks Giving.

I wonder how does one 'unleash' Italy?
They love to even scores. Between they and the Turks and Mossad... it appears that revenge city is about to befall AQ.

Well, her too, but I was refering to the donkey used to haul the High Speed /Low Drag Rocket Launching / Targeting System to its deployment sight.
There was a picture of 2 GIs guarding a possible launch site posted a while back. In the background was a Very Unhappy Donkey. I figure we might want to question the poor critter involved in the attack today. I would bet money that he would be more helpful in catching the Terrorists than the local populace.
