You're thinking of East Amherst when you speak of "wealth." Most Amherst residents are blue-collar workers or small business people.

Amherst isn't that big.

Buffalo on one side and I believe beginning with Jubilee at Kensington Ave, it's Cheektowaga.

That corner of Amherst acts as a bulwark for the rest of the town.
