I have dealt with a chronic illness since I was 20. I was diagnosed with Rheumotiod Arthritis. This is a genetic disease. I did not ask to portions of my life be completely unbearable to with pain that going to the bathroom was a painful timely event. I have been through several 'specialists' in this field. I have had these 'specialists' advise me on my first visit (and I didn't even ask) that they will not prescribe a narcotic, so did not ask. I have conclude, I am 37 yrs now, that Rheumotogists' have no idea the agony that someone with a flare up has to endure. And after dealing with this condition for years now, I found a wonderful family doctor who I interviewed before I decided to see her. I have been seeing her for several yours now. She has help me when I have needed it. I am so glad I found this Dr. My life has been better since become her patient. And not because of pain meds. She knows me well and does not question pain I am experiencing.

I feel very strongly about the pain issue with chronic illness'. Doctor's need to step to the plate and truly help pain suffers.

Thanks for letting me vent.
