Hopefully the legislation is written so that is does not promote corporations' "volunteering" their retirees out of their existing programs and into the Federal safety net.

BTW...it's not only Rush slamming Dubyuh on this Prescrition Drug Bill...the local Richmond conservative radio talkshow host just called Dubyuh "Lyndon Baines Bush!!" OUCH!!

I don't care if it is voluntary or not. It will cost 400 billion dollars over 10 years and up to 2 trillion over 20 years. This can not be spun as conservative in any way.

I don't think "voluntary" is applicable to that "little" rise workers will be seeing in that "Medicare" deduction taken from them every pay period.

Will 2006 also afford those "conservative" lawmakers a nice salary increase? Prolly.
