"How expensive will it be for the nation if we do nothing?"

The above question assumes that the cost is the "nation's," instead of the individual's. Conceding that such is the case, whether privatized or not, concedes that we are well on the road to socialism. At least.

And it concedes that we are bickering over how to implement socialism, rather than whether or not we should have it.
