Cablevision Hikes Rates 3.2 Percent Friday November 21, 5:03 pm ET
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE:CVC - News), the nation's sixth largest cable television company, said on Friday it will raise monthly cable bills by 3.2 percent next year because of increased programing costs.

I pay a bit more for 100 channel sat via Dish Network than what I paid for cable. However, I dropped cable years ago and I am sure that DN is quite competitive with today's cable rates. Plus their customer support is friendly and useful, unlike the cable company I had to deal with before.
