The problem with any conspiracy theory is that nobody in their right mind would choose a flake like Lee Harvey Oswald to pull off a stunt like this. Especially not the Soviets.

How do we really know that LHO was a genuine flake? Couldn't that have been part of the M.O. chosen for him?

If I wanted people to think I was a flake, I bet I could do a pretty convincing job of faking it.

(Yes, I know that's an invitation for a good wise crack. We'll see how well you display a little self-discipline. LOL!)

Dang that fine print. I was all primed!!

I have yet to read any report that LHO was a cunning or stable person. Everyone who knew him, from his relatives to his acquaintances, thought he was troubled. Intelligent perhaps, but not normal.

It's possible that the gubbermint got to everyone who knew him well and paid them off, but at some point you have to go with the uncontradicted evidence that is out there.

To be a consistent flake is something of a challenge if you're really not flaky. Imagine slipping up and acting like a sensible human being when someone else is watching.
