California Senate has voted to repeal SB 60! (Drivers' Licenses for Illegals Being REPEALED Now!)
Posted on 11/24/2003 4:34:03 PM PST by ElkGroveDan
The California Senat is now voting on SB 1XXX by Senator Rico Oller to repeal SB 60, the dirvers license of illegal aliens bill.
Reports are that the Democrats have been scared into supporting this. The recall exit polls showed it was the number one issue.

Thanks. Now let's see what the hard core ideologues in the assembly will do. Actually the Senate was a tougher nut to crack. The Assembly will go a similar route.

Now we will wait and see what the other states that took California's lead will do.

SO- WHAT SIDE OF THIS ISSUE IS THIS GUY ON!!!!
What a jerk. Sorry he isn't in my district so I could work hard on getting him a new job when his term is over---or recall in the works for him, also.
To: ElkGroveDan
It is a full and total repeal of the measure.Beware! Gil Cedillo will be back with a new and improved license bill. That man is not going to take no for an answer.
To: ElkGroveDan; TheAngryClam
They don't want the referendum to go forward. Much easier to come back with a new bill with "security measures" if they don't suffer an overwhelming repudiation via referendum...

Tripled Car Tax killed. I get a 500 rebate.
CDL for Illegals killed. My CDL retains some legitimacy.
Inside one week. Not a bad start for Ahnold.

That means its a done deal. If it can pass the Senate, the assembly should be cake. And for all you that were skeptical of the Governor's leadership on this issue, I have one thing to say: GO ARNOLD GO

Terrific news! After reading some sob story in The Houston Chronicle this morning about an illegal that was jailed for trying to re-enter the US with a fake Texas birth certificate, this news is a breath of fresh air!

Is DU blaming racist Republicans yet, even though the legislature is controlled by the Dems?

Amen!
Let's clear the board and statr all over.

Not bad at all. By his seventh day in office he has accomplished not only the triple tax repeal, but now this! Oooh, I'm betting there's some really cowed Dems in Sacto tonight!

It is cold up here today in the Wine Country?
Did hell, er California just freeze over?
Naah, that recall and the focus group surveys are causing massive Depends sales in Sacramento for the rats still in power.
The people, who actually work at DMV will be happy. The last thing they wanted to be was the Welcome Wagon for Illegal aliens as per Davis and the California Rats.

They would have never repealed this if there wasn't a referendum which was about to qualify.

His second week is off to a good start also. Just look at the democrats impersonating Republicans. Love it.
