I live about five minutes away from the original Strouds. Funky little roadhouse of the sort that barely exist anymore. There's a piano there that is usually being played by one of the great local talents. Great food and one of the oldest operating saloon style bars in the area. Love that place!

I'm betting the Stroud's people didn't fit the profile."
Which is exactly why I'm stunned that they didn't arouse security. According the the FAA's observed policies, only little old white ladies and other non-Muslims are to be searched!

Sounds great. Stroud's north would be my preference.
Someone volunteer to be an organizer.
ILBBACH - don't think I've met you, probably a bunch of new freepers I haven't met.
We talked to Sean a bit while getting our book signed. Very genuine person. I was surprised that he spent the (little though it was) extra time to talk with us just a bit after he signed the book.

"So then one of his handlers gave us the phone number to the plane (private jet), told us they needed dinner for nine people and that they would give us Sean's credit card number when we get there."
Was Arriana Huffington on the trip "since the plane was going there anyway"?

Great story. Hope to hear the story today and the shirts sound great. What did Flipper do? Flip out? Did you tell her the chicken was free range chicken? LOL.
But he was in a private plane? It must've been going there anyway..... LOL!!!!

So...who's who amongst this bevy of stunning ladies? I'm the one with the glasses and three chins. EEGADS - not very photogenic - I'm much cuter in person (I HOPE!)
Thanks for posting the pic!

BTW, my friend has her book with her because she accidentally left it at the signing and they brought it to the plane for her!
They are just the nicest people!

Was Arriana Huffington on the trip "since the plane was going there anyway"?It's funny you both mentioned that because he made a joke of it in his act. I can't remember exactly what he said, but he said it was OK he took a private jet because "it was going there anyway." It got a big laugh from the crowd.

Thanks!
See below.
BTW, did I call it right? Strouds North? I grew up just off of 83rd and Holmes. I wouldn't call it advertising... Just a statement of fact! If the moderators don't believe me, have them check with Troutstalker and any other KC residents!

Yeah, I play at Stroud's North on weekends and Stroud's 85th & Troost on Mondays. We got the food from North.
It IS the best chicken around! Just a statement of fact!
(Glad to see the new tag line...and YOU'RE RIGHT!)
