Sun and Times, plus the Sky satellite TV station are all owned by Mr Rupert Murdoch. The Mirror is the paper of mostly blue-collar Labour voters, trade union members etc. The Sun is the Mirror's more successful rival, and every Prime Minister since Mrs Thatcher has needed their support to get elected. The Sun is aimed at those blue-collar readers who aren't socialists, plus those who since the Thatcher era, don't see themselves as blue-collar (or working class in British terminology). There are a few other papers in this part of the market, but the Mirror and Sun are the two main ones.

"The Queen's own flock of flamingoes...are thought to be so traumatised after being taken to a "place of safety" that they might never return home.

Nothing worst than a flock of traumatised flamingoes. :O)

Pardon me, but I was taking issue with -- lampooning, if you will -- the CONTENT of the author's article. Not you, personally, or the rest of my cousin Brits. Re-reading my post, I see that I could have made that more clear.

Wow. Repairing those roses might tear the Queen away from her important work doing... umm, what exactly does she do anyway?

'Cuz tourists are money.
