I'm rather tallish myself, and the distance between my armpit and the end of my hand is approximately 2 feet, though I didn't get up to measure it right now.

I remember Frazier, the man who would drive LHO to work, said the object in question was about 24 inches, give or take a couple of inches.

Was the rifle said to be 36 inches? That's what I seem to remember from somewhere. So this couldn't have been the rifle used in the shooting that was in the package LHO carried under his arm that way.

What am I missing?
