If more people would simply post the non-news/non-political threads into the proper forum and topic to begin with, we wouldn't need to move as many threads and we'd all be much happier forum users. Can't we all just get along? LOL

Jim, I have been a regular on FR since the earliest days, and continuously registered since 1999. I cannot thank you enough for all you do, and only wish I was a person of means so I could help cover the site's funding. I trust you totally to do what you believe to be in the best interest of the site.

I think that is the crux of the problem. I search through hundreds of news sources (almost daily) and what might be a top story in news in one place is chat here. Maybe a 'Political News' and 'General News' section would help define it better.
As I mentioned in another post here a few minutes ago, I post a lot of crime news as to me crime says a lot about the society you are in - from wod to child abuse. Some people choose more about new legislation (which I also try to drop in from thomas.loc and govexec).
I will try and do a better job of clarifying why I am posting things in my posts, I am just usually busy finding more things to post :)
