I'm with you on this one. FR used to be a great place to debate constitutional ideals etc. Now it is difficult to find important news while weeding through the morass of Michael Jackson and other nonsense news.

Post the news of the weird and the tabloid stuff and such over in chat. If it truly is as popular as you think, people will follow and that forum will pick up.

I understand your point, and would agree with moving some (not all) of the threads you have listed. However, part of the problem with "Chat" (General Interest) is that messages can get lost in a "Hobbit Hole," if you know what I mean. Give the Daily Forum Threads (listed below) their own "room," and maybe "Chat" would be easier to use.

I know that General Interest = Chat, but this has confused the heck out of more Freepers than anyone in charge seems to realize.

Until you fix the problem, (which would take about 20 minutes if you're slow at programming), you have no one to blame but yourselves for members not knowing how to get to the "Chat Forum".
