All have been moved to chat.

I agree that the news forum has become the catch all forum. The Campaign Threads need to move back to Campaign central (now that it's no longer campaign 2002). I'd like to nominate one more catagory and that is JohnHuang2 and Kattracks personal spam area. There is a difference between posting an article for discussion and seeing who can post the most next day's Washington Times articles first.

LM likes to think he's savy throwing around words like "source code" and "software" when speaking of html.

***********************************
Now, I'm familiar with "Admin Moderator". However, when I check "Lead Moderator's" profile, there's a bovine's rear-end staring back at me.
Question: Is "Lead Moderator" a real moderator or a disrupter-imposter moderator?
If the answer is the latter....Bring out the Viking Kitties!
If the answer is the former let me add the obligatory statement that you are doing a great job, Lead Moderator! :-)
To: Admin Moderator
Maybe if everyone would just grow up, we would not have these problems.

I am sick of Dixie Chicks, Michael Jackson, the Lacy Peterson case, and to some extent Kobe's troubles.
If people want to talk about those things, thats fine. But let it be known that I fully support getting back around to the basics.

"maybe instead of making each forum exclusive, let posters be able to view 1 or more forums at a time" I've always thought this was the way to go. I am often interested in topics in more than one forum, but tend to stay on the news forum. If it isn't there, I don't see it usually. It would be nice to have that browsing option.

....Broadly stated, the goals of this site are to further conservatism, expose political corruption,
"and recover a truly constitutional form of government".....
Does that sound familiar to you? .... It is the "answer" to your question ... and we should be FREE to not have the "Moderator" censor you on the 4th of July when a basic question about the Declaration of Independence is asked.... about when a citizen is required to do his duty!.... :)

The best way right now is to let us know. We know there is title abuse, and it's not right to those who abide by the posting guidelinse. We can fix them though. Thanks

Here is a list of "topics" that posters choose from when posting an article or thread. Certainly, many of the threads which were moved to chat fall under one or more of these topics. Like it or not, the Michael Jackson story is news. And the 40th annivesary of JFK's assassination (today) makes threads pertaining to that event relevant.

The lighter stuff, such as the live sports threads are terriffic. They blend well with the serious stuff and gives the board a sense of community. Segregating these topics creates a sterile vibe. There's plenty of good, serious discussion on this board. One possible way to address this is for the "Latest Posts" page to display the latest posts for all forums combined (rather than just the News/Activism latest posts, as it is now). In addition to the macro latest posts, individual fora could also have "latest posts" as the default display. That way those who want to see only the latest news/activism posts could do that by going straight to News/Activism, and those who want to see the latest of all kinds of posts (including religion, which has been sidelined into a ghetto, and vanity) can do so as well
Drawing the "Latest Posts" from all of the forums provides a much more realistic picture of the whole FR community. It's also much more flexible for those who want to be able to flit back and forth among forums.
Another advantage of this approach is that it would greatly lesson the temptation for vanity and chat posters to post improperly in News/Activism just to be sure Freepers will see their thread.
