Mr. Kennedy is not against windmill power per se but he is opposed to those projects in his immediate view and would be offended to see and smell the rotting corpses of waterfowl washing up on the beaches of Cape Cod. He would much prefer that these bird blenders be situated elsewhere, such as in your backyard.

It's such a shame we cannot harness the "Wind Power" generated by the bloviating bustard from Hyannis. But that would require several design decisions which may be beyond our technology.

First, where would we install the wind farm? Hyannis? Washington? Down in Florida?

Would we install the wind farm in front of Uncle Teddy's mouth? Or would we get optimal power generation by placing it behind him to harness the power of his producing methane from enthanol?

Finally, what are the risks to the wind farm and the environment from when the High-Anus from Hyannis explodes?

Wind power is a moronic idea, except in the case of farms and ranches way out in the country, where it may be the most practical source of power. In other words, private windmills, privately paid for.

But windmills will never produce substantial amounts of power. It's a niche source, like solar cells. There are places where it makes sense, but they will never make more than a limited contribution to national energy requirements.

The only practical source of additional energy in large amounts at this time, ecologically friendly and not exhausting fossil fuels, is atomic power. But needless to say the Kennedys of the world will oppose that forever.
