"In the long run, we need to have a different way of handling people coming into this country and that means some type of temporary guest worker program," said Kolbe, a Republican who is co-sponsor, with fellow Arizona Republican Rep. Jeff Flake, of a guest worker bill introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. "This is a problem that is not going to go away, we can make it more difficult … but we can't stop it."

Special Registration for Arab Immigrants Will Reportedly Stop

When will W assume responsibility for the open sore of criminals violating the border? Will he ever?

"… but we can't stop it."

If this is true-we are no longer a viable nation.

Have not heard much about the efforts of private border security operations lately. Is their work what has pushed the BP to this increased level of effort?

On the comment by the illegal caught in the truck wreck, protesting that he was not a threat and not a thief; one needs to remember that he will extract American currency, often without paying taxes and send it to Mexico. He will also avail himself of various "entitlements" (God I hate that word) without any contribution. If that is not stealing, I am an Islamist.

For example, apprehensions at the Naco station were at 14,840 since Oct. 1,

Good grief, that is more people than ride any given metropolitan mass-transit system!

We should be putting MUCH more heat on Mexico to do their part in this; these people get sent back, then just try again and again until they 'make' it.

Bravo! for the Border Patrol -- more power to them!

Jimenez Sanchez, 27, and seven other illegal entrants in the bed of the GMC didn't see the driver and a passenger in the cab bail out and run away. And they didn't see the team of U.S. Border Patrol agents swarming around them before they, too, could make a run for it.

They were riding in the back of a pickup and didn't see the cops chasing them? This is such a lie. They were probably yelling at the cops and throwing things at them. Then they got caught and this idiot of a reporter expects us to believe that these peaceful loving criminals didnt' see anything?

I hate this issue. Nothing makes my blood boil than to see our country invaded by these scum and our leaders do nothing about it.

"We aren't any threat to you. We're just here to work. That's all we want - to take care of our families," he said, to no one in particular. "What do you want from us? We're not thieves. We don't come to harm you."

Brings tears to my eyes, I just want to adopt him and hug him and never let him go.

They are not a threat to us? Then pay back the 8 billion in damages to California and the 4 billion to Texas, keep your kids out of our schools, keep your grubby paws off our Social Security, stay out of the voters booth, stop demanding the rights and protections of citizens, stay out of the welfare lines and the hospitals, stop wearing our highways out, and stop stealing twelve billion a year out of the US economy to send back to Mexico, stop poisoning us with your filthy produce, spreading your strain of TB that is immune to antibiotics, along with your hepititus, and choking Texas when you burn your fields at the end of summer, not to mention the loss of resources and the cost of having to provide more resources than the community needs just in order to support your presence here. And it's not the point either. If we want someone invading our nation we will sqeeze their ear.

"It's just Border Patrol profiling, and it erodes the rights of all citizens

Typical liberal logic, wonder what orifice she pulled this logic out of?

The Border Patrol's operation appears to be nothing more than a waste of resources intended to grab headlines as much as undocumented workers, said Jennifer Allen of the Border Action Network, a human- and immigration-rights advocacy group.

Jennifer Allen is an anti-American POS.

I’ll start paying attention when I hear that the US is sending illegals to Tehuantepec
by the boatload.

Agreed. But violators of the immigration/guest worker program laws, should be made to do one year of hard labor BEFORE deporting them back.
