Ping!

When President Bush pushed tax cuts at the beginning of his administration, remember how Ted Kennedy screamed and went into overdrive? He asked how Bush DARED to use JFK's name in ads, reminding people that JFK had cut taxes BIG TIME....and insisted they be PERMANENT!

The Democrats prefer to draw the veil of "Camelot"....a fairy tale aura over JFK, rather than ever admit the truths about him. I think they'd even rather we remember the womanizing rather than the tax-cutting about JFK!

The day the Berlin Wall fell is a day each & every person will live to regret; &, I believe the regret will come rather soon, at that.

Consider: Before it fell? All one ever needed to do should a question of who was being lied to arise, was to look across that wall & into the "Worker's Paradise."
Made ideological arguments quite short, sweet & very moot to all, including "Democrats."

A *little* harder to do these days, now that the wall's gone, huh?
How much longer before the mere mention of that wall & all it meant will be met by blank stares & suspicious glances? :o)

Back on point, talking about LL's assertions concerning civil rights, and, who should & shouldn't recieve credit?

I'd bet LL realizes the mindset responsible for the long gone wall & the mindset now running the nation's universities, teaching our kids, writing today's headlines, and in charge of recording what'll be our official history?
They are one & the same.
To a large degree this has been made possible thanks to that wall's demise so I guess it could be said when their wall fell, our wall went up.
~eh?

But aside from all that, never forget there's something else governing above all else here, too. Something we've all heard many times uttered in matters of righteousness et al.

..."Let no good deed go unpunished."

The tax rates in JFK's time were quite a bit higher than they are now, so the call to lower taxes now doesn't have quite as much justification as then.
