Whoa!! I said I was on the fence, meaning that I can see both sides.

I spent some time in Mexico a couple of years ago, and I saw the way some of the people there live. So I UNDERSTAND why they will risk everything to come here.

Do I think it's right? Nope. My ancestors got here legally. IF there was another place better and I wanted to go, I'd do it legally.

Am I in favor of closing our borders? You betcha. We don't need the drain on our economy or society.

You read me wrong, Ches. I don't think it's right that we have to support illegals, I simply said that I understand why the Mexicans (and others) want to come here.

LOL! My apologies. I read "on the fence" as not really caring about the issue as long as it doesn't effect you. I also understand why the Mexicans are willing to risk so much to come here but am definitely not "on the fence" in regards to it.
