Beyond legal presumption of innocence(glad it ain't you on trial, or we'd all have to assume you guilty just because you were accused) a lot of people have seen this story play out too many times before. Rape is the most falsely filed crime in the US and it immediately puts the accused on the defensive UNLIKE most other crimes.

Even with murder, many people would believe you to be innocent if the evidence were as flimsy as it is in this case.

The blood present coroborates that part of the story, even if it was consensual.

Kobe has for years hung out with NBA Players, the lowest gang of scum and thugs outside a prison. My presumption is that is he were a decent individual, he wouldn't be there.

Quite true. It was also, at the time of my Criminal Justice course way back in 1986 (so take it for what it's worth), by far the most successfully prosecuted crime. The rate of guilty verdicts was something on the order of %70-%80, whereas other crimes (murder, etc) were found guilty about %35 of the time.

The above numbers are approximate because I am attempting to recall them from so long ago and they were current only as of 1986, but you get the idea. While pouring over the data, I decided that if I was ever the victim of a false rape accusation, it would just be better to plead guilty and save the lawyer fee.
