It's been my experience that the "attacks" have been both ways.
What do you mean by "free"?
IMO...they both have exhibited extremely reckless behaviour. And it sheds light into their character....And no matter what the outcome......the impact of what did...or didn't happen will forever be with them.
Fwiw, I wouldn't be surprised to find out...that the young lady is lying. And also I wouldn't be surprised to find out Mr. Bryant did indeed rape her.
