Can the Norths Walking Computer Remember His 1,200 Names?
by Kim In (ginko@chosun.com)
Since February 1974, when current North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, was unofficially chosen as the successor to his father, Kim Il-sung, North Korean newspapers and broadcasters have used more than 1,200 terms of endearment to refer to the son, according to the North's state-run Korea Central Broadcasting Station (KCBS).
Before Kim Jong-il officially emerged as new North Korean leader, at the sixth convention of the Labor Party in October 1980, he was referred to only as the party center on newspapers and TV. Later, the title of Great Leader was attached to his name in order to distinguish him from his father, who had been called the Great Chief. Since the early 90s, however, North Koreans began to use the term chief for Kim Jong-il as well.
Some examples taken by the KCBS on Friday were diverse, sometimes forming whole sentences. Kims worshipers get to choose phrases such as Great Human Veteran, Matchless Hero who Rules the World with Virtue, Creator and Symbol of the Good-Ruler Philosophy, Outstanding Military and Political Activist, Great Leader who Opened a New History, Top Representative of Revolutionary Integrity, and the Eternal Heart with Great Love and Faith.
His military titles include Marvelous Strategist, Perfect Military Expert, Strategist for Victories, General-like Politician, Best General, Symbol of Unchallenged Victory, Worlds Best Military Artist, and Invincible Commander.
There are also about 50 titles that use the word Sun. Among them are Sun of Revolution, Sun of Life, Sun of Hope, Guiding Sun, Sun of Juche (the Norhts ideology of self-reliance), Sun of Socialism, Sun of Humankind, Eternal Sun, Sun of the Nation.
Not to be though illiterate or a philistine, Kim is called the Great Master in Philosophy, Master in Literature, Art and Architecture, Genius of Human Music, Worlds Great Author, Walking Computer Who Surprises Experts, and more modest labels, as well: Hero from Heaven, and Sky of All the People.

This is something that would not surprise you or me. Hearing this kind of news is like smelling an ugly stench of a dying monumental evil called N. Korean regime.

Instead of the preferred "dear leader":
"Dear Liter"?
"Deer Eater"?
"Grand Hair Mousse Tester"?

What do you bet he can only remember 666 of his names? Think about it..."And the number of his names was six hundred, threescore and six..."

The Kim family, aka Kim Il Sung and son Kim Jong Il are, more and more, taking on the veil of god-emperor, like their one time nemesis, Japanese Emperor Hirohito.

Actually he calls himself "Midget Sh*tbag" as a self-deprecating reference. He more or less knows what he is.

They used to have a radio spot in California called "Foreign Food or Foreign Dude." They would say a foreign name every morning, and the lucky caller would have to identify the foreign name as either a foreign food or a foreign dude. Even with Kim's recent flash of infamy, I bet the spread would still go fifty-fifty outside Korea in identifying him as either a foreign food or foreign dude. He's a loser, who nobody knows outside his own country. He'd be even more anonymous aside from his killing one-tenth of his own people and his continual acts on international terrorism and crime. Let's get this boy off the face of the earth and quit wasting our time.
