Bush, Blair: Attacks Are Proof

By Matthew McAllester STAFF CORRESPONDENT

November 21, 2003

London - President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair spoke yesterday like two men whose main point had just been made for them by terrorist bombers in Istanbul, Turkey.

"The nature of the terrorist enemy is evident once again," Bush told reporters at a news conference with Blair, a few hours after bombs hit a British bank and the British consulate in Istanbul, killing at least 27 people, including the British consul-general. "We see their contempt - their utter contempt - for innocent life. They hate freedom. They hate free nations," Bush said. "They particularly want to intimidate and demoralize free nations. They're not going to succeed."

The bombings added an air of solemnity to what was expected to be a particularly fiery news conference on Bush's second full day of his three-day state visit. But while he and Blair promised that the attacks would merely strengthen their resolve to fight terrorism around the world and continue the occupation of Iraq, many protesters in London saw the bombings as a direct result of Bush and Blair's foreign policy.

I heard Savage say that there are currently 15 countries where Islamic fanatics can't get along with their neighbors. Does any FReeper know which ones they are?

Actually, I think that the figures you are looking for is that of the 27 (number?) current conflicts around the world, 25 involve Islama-facists.

Boortz posted this on his website a couple of months ago.

With the Islamic terrorists now attacking their own, it appears that they are doing everything in their power to disprove the notion that the 9-11 attack was waged against the west. All these latest attacks are doing is proving that the "religion of peace" wants to kill as many innocent people as possible.

Until someone in authority stops playing politics and admits that Islam is the religion of Satan that teaches hate, tyranny, oppression, poverty and admiration for living in the 6th century, this kind of stuff will go on and get worse. Islam needs to be attacked from all sides and eliminated from the face of the earth. Until it is, there will never be peace from these people who profess to be of the religion of peace.
