For liberals, analysis = the art of obfuscating, ignoring, explaining away anything that contradicts them.

”The Newsweek authors continue: "Overlooked in THE WEEKLY STANDARD hype, the Pentagon memo itself concedes that much of the more recent reporting about Iraqi-Al Qaeda ties is 'conflicting.'"

Other authors write: "The Pentagon memo pointedly omits any reference to the interrogations of a host of other high-level al Qaeda and Iraqi detainees--including such notables as Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, Abu Zubaida, and Hijazi himself." Our military is faced with the utter incompetence of a Politically Correct Bureaucratic State Department as well as some in the Pentagon.......“Cox Newspapers reports that an intelligence officer close to the case, Capt. Sheri Day, says it has been nearly impossible to get information out of prisoners. "Our hands are tied behind our backs," Day said. "It didn't take the detainees long to figure out our techniques and procedures. They knew we had to stay in certain boundaries (of treatment) because we're Americans. They knew they could sit all day long and not say anything and eventually walk free."

So much for the brilliant soldiers like Col. West who put his neck on the line for his men and his country...you and me. Meanwhile MemoGate goes relatively unchallenged, a memo putting many lives in danger with lies and innuendo from the left, but Col West went about saving lives and is being crucified for it.

Where is News Week on this? No where of course, it ain't politically correct to protect our own military. It is politically incorrect to suggest that Osama and Saddam are and have been partners in terrorism along with the Clinton's little darling, Arafat. News Week has its moments and this isn't one of them.............

Muhammed Atta's contact in Prague, Al Ani, is now in the custody of US forces -- so what has HE said about the Atta meetings, pray tell?
