Obviously a plot by the right wing media to belittle the millions of protestors who actually showed up. The polls lie, 99% of Britons hate Bush....

I saw some limp wrist "middle class" Brit being interviewed at some point yesterday. He couldn't even come up with a coherent reason to be part of the protest. I'd be curious to know how many of them were there trying to get laid like in an American protest in the 60s.

London’s Metropolitan Police figured the number of participants at only 30,000.

Having monitored the Trafalgar webcam during the day, I agree with this figure. The square never looked completely filled. 70,000 is too high.

Whether it was 70,000 or 30,000, more people showed up to throw rocks at David Blaine than to protest Bush and the US.

In other words, 99 1/2 percent of all Britons sat out the "massive protests".

And the BBC (the network of record) starts by asking GWB "Can you tell us why so many people hate you?"

Last night, according to Tim Russert on MSNBC, all of England was their and what is even more disturnbing is that he alleged the whole western-europe world hates Bush. I almost vomited listening to that moron. Like you said, if the protesters (most from outside London) made up even 1% of the total London populationthey would be lucky...the protesters showed themselves to be stupid and ignorant especially in light of the fact their own interests were attacked in Turkey without provication.

The eurotrash "protestors" are really no different than all of the college-age puss*** who "protested" against the US war in SEA. The latter were more concerned about getting shot at in the jungles and rice paddies than they were about the "righteousness" or "morality" of the effort. They were afraid, but didn't have the guts to really say so. There is no moral clarity or genuineness about any of today's "protestors" either. They're right up there with so-called "conscientious objectors" who are of the same bolt of cloth. In fact, I believe we can lump them all together with the nine dwarves who are "running" for the democrat nomination for president.

Which is why the Charlie Rangles in Congress want to reinstate the draft. He thinks a draft will boost "antiwar" recruits.

I heard one radio commentator mention that there were a lot of teenage girls in attendance. Chicks, street party, chance to break stuff......no need to yell "Free Beer!" to close the deal for the boys.

"Stop The War!....your place or mine, baby?"

DU is still acting like the protests were some big huge deal. I love how they never ever leave their secure liberal bubble where all the facts are always on their side. It makes them easier to beat in elections.
