A large cube would be cubic acres,which is not possible,but cubic yards/ft is used when measuring something with three sides,as in length,width,depth.Like concrete or soil.
So,the commentator had it right.Square is used when measuring the length x width of something.Like a room or building.In this case they used acres.They could have said he has 102 acres,but I guess for effect they said it the way they did.
