You know I liked the guy even though I strongly disagreed with his stance on the WOD. That being said I still believe that he was an agent for either NORML or some other pro pot drug legalization group.
And at any rate the sheer number of his posts on the same tired old subject grew really tiresome. I felt that he was abusing the purpose and intent of the FR which is to debate the issues of the day. LeRoy was using the FR as a platform for the advancement of illegal drug legalization.

I have no doubt you're right. He only posted during working hours; never evenings or on weekends. Just like anyone doing a job they're paid for.
He keeps coming back using different names, right now it's "No King but Jesus". He keeps trying to change his name around but that member since thing and his posting style gives him away every time.

where does the coma gil in florida fall in? Breaking news or crap gossip?
To: Admin Moderator
There have been a few times that I have searched for something and had it come up with no results so I posted it in Breaking news. Would it be better to post it in Extended news and thenPing AdminModerator to see if it is breaking news? I have thought of doing this but by the time I get the whole thing written up someone has already beat me to it.

Um, I disagree that his point is valid. It's a complete waste of electrons.
Admins are alway right. Because if they weren't we'd have to listen to the likes of him whine.
Nah, nothing valid about whining. Out of bounds.
As another poster said, less BS, more game.

Maybe you could initiate a section called "Breaking Inconsequential News." Then have everyone throw all their Jacko, Scott Peterson, Kobe Bryant junk in the BIN.

Sorry, wrong again. The admins aren't there to stop him from whining, and indeed, they haven't. Using your logic, if he is still whining, then the admins must be wrong for letting him (and me) whine. But admins can't be wrong...
As for his point, you're entitled to your opinion about it. I happen to think your opinion is wrong, but as you so cleverly point out, whining about your whining about his whining won't really do much good, now, will it?
Besides, I have yet to see how this thread has actually resulted in less BS...

Oh, I disagree, this news is QUITE broken...
To: Admin Moderator
Uh oh.
Think I'll duck out of here right now and hide on one of the weird threads.
If anyone needs me, I'll be trying to find the Invisible Woman.

Yes, there have been too many duplicate threads and such recently.
Makes me realise how much more I do NOT envy your job, especially with having to slog through many threads to find the Dups.
Have fun (try to), laters.

No seriously, I do some conversion to XML and then some re-formatting so I can have Breaking News constantly updated to my PocketPC and I hate wasting the screen space for something as dumb as "Breaking News Abuse".

Sorry - as much as I'd like to agree with you, I have it on good authority that "the admins are always right". Therefore, your very valid point about the admins not flouting their own rules must, by definition, be wrong.
To: beezdotcom
"Sorry, wrong again."
You sound very certain, and yet I'm very certain that if we put it to a vote here, you'd lose -- resoundingly.
People are sick and tired of people bit___ing about the admins.
You're wrong, and I'm not sorry to point it out. Admins do a good, thankless job here. They should get tons more latitude. People who post about their right to whine -- and I realize that wasn't you, but that "low" guy -- are (1) boring and (2) annoying and (3) ungrateful for the work Admins too.
To: FreeTheHostages; beezdotcom
Well, FlyLow, with an attitude like yours, where you "threaten" to post or not post to get your way, all I can say is that the rest of us will be rivited to read what such a mature adult as you have to say.
What the Admins say goes. Just like the Refs are always right. It works better that way.
Now now, don't get your panties in a wad. Even if you disagree with FlyLow's "method of protest", he raises a valid point. 'Breaking News' is a somewhat subjective term. The Admins are perfectly free to interpret it however they choose, but that doesn't mean everybody has to swallow AND say it tastes good.
And, actually, the Refs aren't always right; calls sometimes get challenged successfully. You must be thinking about umpires...
Thanks to you both for your input. It seems that I was not repremanded by the referee so it doesn't count agaist my fouls and no free-throws are ordered. However, I will try to send as many "breaking news" posts as I can so that everyone can see how mature I am! (-:
