If getting a loan is "doing something" then by all means cheer the guy on. My point is that it would make more sense to cut spending (outside of the bloated 70% mandated).
It can and has been done in liberal Maryland by a governor who told state employees that they're lucky to have a job, when they pressed him for a cost of living increase.
Leadership means making tough choices and sound decisions.
