When asked whether or not the Iraqi people are better off now than under Saddam Hussein's regime, she answered, "The ones who are dead are certainly not better off. I would not have provided Saddam the means to rule the Iraqi people to start with." *cough* and those found in the mass graves and body warehouses were?
On patriotism, she offered: "Patriotism is in the eye of the beholder."
Ahh, relativism. We're all patriots aren't we.

Yeh explained that once the police removed Greenwald from the auditorium, "he was asked to leave and he walked out. He was being disruptive. ... He's entitled to his views." I wonder if they apply the same "being disruptive" standard to left wing hecklers of mainstream speakers.

In her lecture, McKinney talked about her own history and achievements, including her involvement with voting registration reform and meetings with individuals ranging from the CEO of Lockheed Martin to the mother of rapper Tupac Shakur. So, is Tupac Shakur's mother some kind of madonna in certain circles?

In his first statements, Hassan made it a point to emphasize certain parts of the Campus Code of Conduct, most notably ways audience members could display disapproval of a speaker. "Quite simply, the speaker has a right to speak without intimidation," Hassan said.
Sooooo . . .Condi Rice would be welcome to deliver a full adress uninterrupted . . . right?

Profs. Hassan and McKinney can kiss my trim, tight, white, luminous when bare a**!
Since when does a prof. screen the questions or the behavior of an audience so a speaker will "not be intimidated?"
What CRAP!

Condi Rice would be welcome to deliver a full adress uninterrupted . . . right? We don't have to wait for Condi Rice to show up at Cornell to see the infamous liberal double standard at work. We can look to the 2001 Cornell appearance of Ann Coulter:
"Coulter was heckled by the left throughout her speech...the podium and stage were pelted with oranges...an older black man got up and began a rant he refused to end. The campus police are not about to arrest older black men and risk being photographed, and then subsequently denounced as a "racist Gestapo" (a practice common among campus radicals). So Coulter left.
Ithaca is the City of Evil.
