The Bible teaches that God created man out of "the dust of the ground" and "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." (Gen 2:7).
The Koran teaches that Allah "created Man of a blood-clot." (Sura XCVI, p. 344 in The Koran, Interpreted, A.J. Arberry, trans., New York: Collier Books).
They are not the same. allah is a 3000 year old DEAD moon god
The evidence reveals that the temple of the Moon-god was active even in the Christian era. Evidence gathered from both North and South Arabia demonstrate that Moon-god worship was clearly active even in Muhammad's day and was still the dominant cult. According to numerous inscriptions, while the name of the Moon-god was Sin, his title was al-ilah, i.e. "the deity," meaning that he was the chief or high god among the gods. As Coon pointed out, "The god Il or Ilah was originally a phase of the Moon God." The Moon-god was called al-ilah, i.e. the god, which was shortened to Allah in pre-Islamic times. The pagan Arabs even used Allah in the names they gave to their children. For example, both Muhammad's father and uncle had Allah as part of their names.
This thread has shown me some things such as:
Don't assume because someone says they are Christian that they know the truth. And
The devil's work is so subtle. He even has Christians believing pagan religions worship the one true God. And he can confuse the issue even on a conservative board to such an extent that the real reason for the original post has been lost.
What does George Bush's statement mean for his presidency and our future as a nation?
I ask all Christians to remember who our enemy is. Pray for President Bush that his eyes are opened to the truth. That he holds fast to the Lord's truth and not worldly, cultural truth, and that those who know themselves as Christians will seek truth not convenient ideas.
Hold fast to the truth especially, the Bible, the one true offensive weapon we have to use against our enemy.
