November 20, 2003 -- Six former Kmart executives allegedly misspent more than $1 billion - some on personal luxuries like fancy cars and private drivers - even as the company teetered on the brink of bankruptcy, according to a lawsuit brought by creditors. The civil suit filed Tuesday in Pontiac, Mich., by the Kmart Creditor Trust accuses CEO Charles Conaway, CFO John McDonald and four other executives of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary trust and unjust enrichment.

Chuck Conaway, the guy who capitulated to Michael Moore over selling bullets for handguns. That aside, this couldn't happen to a bigger scumbag. I worked for a company that lost at least $15 million due to his mismanagement and deception. For years before the Chapter 11 filing, they were ripping off vendors left and right. This is one guy that I would love to see in shackles.
