Michael Schiavo Deposition, Guardianship Hearing
Q. What did you do with your wife's jewelry?
A. My wife's jewelry?
Q. Yeah.
A. Um, I think I took her engagement ring and her...what do they call it...diamond wedding band and made a ring for myself.
Q. What did you do with her cats?
A. Her cats were put to sleep n the advice of my mother-in-law.
Yes. He admitted it under oath. I believe he was testifying in court (i.e., in front of a judge, not just giving a deposition). The judge must have been boneheaded to miss it.
It's not clear when he took her rings but it was VERY early, that is, not long after Terri was "stricken."
That action revealed his true frame of mind, and long before he went before the malpractice jury to pretend that he would be a model husband and take care of her. No woman will miss the symbolism of his taking her wedding rings and making a ring for himself -- Terri was cast away, "divorced," so much dead meat in MS's eyes. And that is just how he treated her over all the years.
Came from his own mouth. Of course, he is less than credible, but if he were gonna lie about the rings, I wouldn't think it would be to say something deliberately to show himself for the *ssh*le that he is. I realize he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I don't think he's that stupid.
