Point is well made that the amendment option is not likely to suceed, given the majorities needed at both the federal and state level. What a poll says about the sheeples current twitching is irrelevant

while i agree with the substance of this, i had to comment on the sheeple thing. Don't see it here half so often as I see it when lurking over at DU, but in either case I can't stand it. Calling people "sheeple", which assumes that people just think what they are told and can't think for themselves expresses such disdain for the common folk. THere are no sheeple - just a lot of individuals with their own opinions.

I've read the article but I still think he's wrong. Perhaps I'm naive.
This article sounds like other scare tactics used by the RATS. I remember several prominent RATS telling Republicans months ago not to even bring up the gay issue because it was divisive. It certainly will never succeed if it is never brought up. If it fails then so be it.
