I think Paul McCartney bought back the rights to his songs several years ago. Actually, no. To date, Michael Jackson owns every song in the Beatles songbook, save two: Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You.
However, due to recent events, it is very likely these songs will once again come up for sale by the end of 2004.

You're right. MJ does own all of Paul's Beatle songs. McCartney DID buy the Carl Perkins catalog that includes some of the early Beatles songs &, ironically, Blue Suede Shoes. Also, McC bought the Buddy Holly catalog.
