Does the sun have a neutron star at the core....

If it does, what stops the surrounding non-fusing material (Iron?) from collapsing into the neutron core?

The more I read, the more wacky this article seems.

The article is either poorly written or just nonsense. It violates the current understanding of how the sun works right after the solar neutrino problem was finally solved.

Something's just not right here.
