I have heard that. And also there is Neverland Ranch, which is worth a pretty penny. Hence the estimate of 1 billion, although I don't know how correct that number is. He's got a net worth, but he has negative cash flow.
Whether an asset is considered liquid or illiquid depends on how long it would take to sell the asset at full market value. I suppose there is the possibility that he could sell something at fire sale prices to raise some cash (let's hope not), but supposedly he does not have that kind of cash now.
I am disgusted by all of the parents of other children that were mollested by mj that took cash settlements. If they had any principles at all, this pervert would be in jail and the molestation of other children would have been prevented. Not to mention how screwed up his three children must be.
