This MEMO was released to the PUBLIC last FRIDAY. Have you heard a PEEP from the MAJOR news outlets?? No, of course not, and you are NOT likely to. After all, the MEMO's authors are Democrats and they have much different standards then does the GOP.
Something already has. Dick Durbin (IL-Disgusting) has called out the Capitol Police to seize the Republican's computers. Durbin maintains that the R's have been illegally accessing dem memos.
IL's Durbin calls in Capitol police
Tuesday, November 18, 2003
By The Leader-Chicago BureauWASHINGTON DC -- Yesterday, Illinois' downstate senior U.S. Senate Richard Durbin (D) initiated an investigation into how the Wall Street Journal and conservative national talk show host Sean Hannity obtained private office memos revealing the Democrats Judicial Committee strategy in keeping judges such as Miquel Estrada from being confirmed to the federal bench.
According to today's Wall Street Journal, Illinois' pleasant, down-to-earth, and congenial-at-home Senator Durbin called the Capitol Police to raid the Judicial Committee's computer room and confiscate the backup drives yesterday. The police were searching for evidence as to who it was that found the confidential memos and, Durbin hopes, find out who turned the memos over to the media.
The Durbin memos show who guides the senator's decision on which judicial nominees should be stopped and those who should be confirmed.

The block on these judges led to last week's 39-hour long filibuster by the Republicans, hoping to peel off enough Democrats to end the block on the votes.
The Senate Republicans have been successful in wooing two Democrats --Zell Miller of Georgia and John Breaux of Louisiana -- to support ending the filibuster, but they need seven more to join the effort before a vote on the judges can be taken. Illinois' Durbin was a leader on the Senate floor against allowing a vote for the judges in last week's 39 hour marathon.
