Do you remember where in Treason you saw that? I missed it, but would like to go back and check it. THAT is astounding!Looks like I screwed up. She doesn't mention him as one of the spies named in the Venona Project. She only mentions that he's a stooge. I don't see any diiference though.

There were probably many stooges who were just stupid, but also a lot of them were spies who weren't caught. Just because Wallace was in a position of such influence, he was as good as a spy to Stalin.
Besides, from what I understand, even today not all of the Venona tapes have been deciphered....yet.
