There was speculation on some cable news show last night (can't definitively recall which one, since I was flipping back and forth all night, but I think it was Dan Abrams) that a lot of insiders think the Pellicano thing is literally a Clinton re-creation of Nixon's Plumbers unit, and that it will eventually blossom into a full-fledged criminal scandal, an after-the-fact Watergate for the Clinton Administration.
I've heard too many claims of scandals "certain to bring down the Clintons" before that never panned out, so I'm not going to get my hopes up too much on this one, but if anything would have the legs to truly destroy them, it would be something like this.
