Exactly. I was going to say that on the other thread but wasn't sure if I'd be right. Now I can see I was right. They can't write an article about West without putting Lynch in the title. They're obviously just trying to get readers because there is no connection. After all, don't forget "Remember the Alamo". Was the cry "Remember the Alamo" a sign of victimization philosophy?...I don't think so. lol

I wonder why the writer couldn't produce an article on Col. West alone, to begin with. Why add Lynch or anyone else? For comparison? The two are entirely different stories. If the writer needed something to compare, there is a related story.

Court Martial For 3 Soldiers Charged With Abuse

"The Army has decided what comes next for four army reservists based in Luzerne County. All are accused of abusing Iraqi POW's.  Now three of the four face a court martial." 

"Defense officials say the fourth reservist is leaving the Army but it's not an honorable discharge."

"At an initial hearing in Iraq back in August, all four reservists were accused of mistreating Iraqi prisoners, from dragging them on the ground to twisting their arms. From that hearing, a general has just decided the case against three will go to trial."

"The soldiers say they were acting in self defense while handling those Iraqi POW's."

These MPs were undermanned and trying to deal with hundreds of hostile Iraqi captives. But they don't have any famous names to "hook" readers.
