INTREP - SODOMITE ALERT

I've never quite understood what is being compared in these studies, particularly when people start talking about longevity of gay relationships to heterosexual marriages - since there are no gay marriages, it seems like an invalid comparison. The straight marriages are really only a subset of straight relationships, and given that they're people that have specifically chosen to stay together, they are almost guaranteed to be the longest relationships.
If you really want to compare gay vs. straight relationship lengths, you need to include all straight relationships (wives, girlfriends, etc.). Even in my own experience - and I'm far from being a player - I'd bet that the average length of all my relationships is not more than 1.5 years, if that.

Bragging or complaining?

Bragging or complaining? Neither - happily married. Although I'm dragging down the average; it's only been four months now.
My point was simply that it seems that so many of these 'comparisons' are rather spurious, and we need to be cautious in interpreting them...
