YEP. My theory is that he held her down by the back of the neck and smothered into the carpet. Broke her spine, knocked her over a piece of furniture, sat on her, kicked her, and anything else you can fill in the blanks with.

One other possibility is that he whacked her with some blunt object on the back of the head. Then there's no struggle. Not that any of the fights you and I have pictured would leave signs of a big brawl.
