Yep, he's got a handful of shots that are outstanding. The black-and-white with the little kid is especially cool -- it reminds me of the work by the photographer (I can't remember her name) from back in the 1930's in the dust bowl out west. There's something timeless about black and white.

I'm probably off-target, but I think her name was Dorothea Lange.

Even if I got that wrong, I do remember reading that the mother in her famous photo
did have a life that was just about as depressing as the photo...
