What is now going on in Georgia is a good illustration of one of the main reasons for that NATO tactic. When the situation is no more under control the moslems will be used as shock troops.

An estimated 10,000 supporters of Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze have gathered in the capital, Tbilisi.

The leader of the Revival Party, Aslan Abashidze - who is allied to Mr Shevardnadze's political bloc - is expected to address the crowd.

Tuesday's gathering by pro-Shevardnadze demonstrators was the first of its kind since the 2 November election.

Most of those attending had been brought in by bus from Black Sea area of Ajaria, where Shevardnadze ally Aslan Abashidze is regional governor.

Schevardnases government now receives the second highest NATO aid per capita. He falsified the election results, claiming 20% of the votes, while he got in fact 2% of the votes, i.e. ten times less.

That is ridiculous and absolute opposite from truth. Kaspian oil is promoted, through Georgia, as antidote to OPEC. Of course, easy after oil supplies fully flowing, for Azerbeyjan and Kazakhstan to join OPEC and screw West and Russia, but this is conjecture.
