EVERY celeb who has gotten hooked on pain killers has received nothing but sympathy in the press. (for example, Brett Favre). Or Kelsey Grammer, or Stacy Keach, or John Delorean....

he hired and paid for by personal check. HA HA HA, we thought Jerry Springer was the only pathetic creep, public figure to pay by check for that stuff.
suffice it to say it's in their makeup.

how about morton downy jr. He was actually ON probation and was given breaks many many times before having to do time.
This at worst is a drug court pre-trial intervention case AT WORST. But finding out about drug court would require effort and CNN reporters to stand someplace other than in front of scenic Byscane bay 100 miles from the palm beach courthouse. AND if they report that all first time offenders are given the option of treatment and dismissal, then the story does not "bleed" the same way and the ratings go down. Reporters are just plain lazy.
To: Always Right
The whole article is full of spin. The article doesn't mention that its been over 8 years since Limbaugh has talked about harsh penalties for drug users, and even then the comment was more about race than about drugs.
He admitted on his show he didn't bring the subject up because he wanted to keep his use SECRET
Hardly a laudable reason not to discuss a major problem confronting American society

It was his money. Some people took offence at the $ amount of the gambling. I say to those people: "lay off." It's Bills' life, Bill's money. He can do with it as he wants. He's an adult
Yeah I'll remember that the next time he and the foundation that pays his salary asks me for a contribution

But Limbaugh probably disappointed many who tuned in to hear his apologies for being harsh with drug users in the past. And those hoping for some contrition for his lock-'em-up stand against drug abusers and other criminals didn't get any. Oh for goodness sakes, what a stupid statement. He rarely discussed drugs as he said, and why the heck should he apologize for being so called "harsh." Get a life. (Tell Teddy to apologize for his big mouth and Mary Jo's murder okay?)

Yeah I'll remember that the next time he and the foundation that pays his salary asks me for a contribution What proof do you have that he was mixing foundation money with personal funds?

What proof do you have that he was mixing foundation money with personal funds?
Didn't say he was BUT must be making a hell of a salary to gamble that much
Foundation pays that much out seems like a waste of funds to me

Didn't say he was BUT must be making a hell of a salary to gamble that much That's rather judgemental of you. You didn't know he was independently wealthy?
If you know he has been diverting Foundation funds into his personal pocket, sue him, otherwise take your slander back to DU where it belongs.
To: will1776
...the Liberal mind...what a terrible waste.....They make a big deal out of Rush's "lying", but worship at the alter of Clintonism....as Dan Rather-Biased said about his boy Clinton, "I believe a man can lie and still be basically honest."....Yeah, as long as it is a democrat, hey Dan.
To: MrsEmmaPeel
As far as DU goes I have been here a lot longer than you
The second WRONG assumption on your part
Never said he was diverting money but I ain't contributing to an organization that pays his salary so he can blow it in VEGAS
He wants to spend money and feel good he can donate it to some charity and talk about it in HIS BOOK OF VIRTUES
