You were trying to dig into someone's personal matters who may HAVE had a painful incident occur in the past. I thought it was distastful and rather callous. You didn't need to resort to that in order bolster your position.

As someone who has a bit of knowledge on recovery I can tell you that talking about a trauma is not traumatic when one is in a healthy recovery.

However, I was not trying to get intimate details, as you suggest. I was simply trying to get her to, perhaps, rethink why she is so suspicious.

That you got so defensive for her makes me wonder about you now.....
