I met a 38 year old so afraid of storms she would have jumped in bed with anybody rather than be alone.
I don't, personally, see what help another person really offers someone old enough to know that if a tree falls on the house, a tree just falls on the house. Being in a bed with someone else doesn't make you any safer from anything--just doubles the potential casualties if the tree falls on the one bed!

But you don't have sleepover in the same bed with a friend and her parents. You have to admit that is pretty odd.

It's all about moral support. :) I flip out if i'm home alone or alone with the kids during a storm. I have been known to make my hubby come home from work just so I'm not alone or go to my parents house and get in their storm shelter.
