He must've heard that they sell good chili-dogs at the Lithuanian Club ("The Litz") on Thursdays.
When I lived there, they only cost something like 25¢ each.
(Actually $1.00 would get you 2 + a beer.)
Of course, ya hadda be a member to get in...
I think a social membership was $10 a year...
but they had a six-lane bowling alley downstairs with the bar,
and the bowling leagues gave you something to do in DuBois on a Friday night during winter, so the membership was worth it.
