What about having multiple wives? Where does it stop? The definition of marriage -- the accepted social norm for thousands of years -- came from the Word of God -- our moral code. If that definition (man and woman) is gone, then what definition will society go by, and how will they validate it without any higher authority?

What about multiple wives. They existed both in Old and New Testament times. They were part of Biblical history. Nowhere in the Bible is multiple wives forbidden, except in one case where Bishops of the early church were called to be the "husband of one wife."
Plural marriage is perfectly acceptable, Biblically.

Exactly! Where does it end?
How long, even, until groups individuals petition for marriage simply for the perceived, real and legal benefits such as Soc Sec benefits? Even groups of people with no real sexual interest in one another? Imagine the 3 dads from Full House or the 2 moms from Kate and Allie. For real life people in those shared living situations, why not get the legal and tax benefits since they are living together as a family?
