The Deans were Republicans for generations, going back to the days of Lincoln and McKinley. But Howard Dean left his ancestral party, just as many Southerners have left theirs. The same thing is happening in my state of Illinois. The "Land of Lincoln" is now Democratic from top to bottom. I don't think either party is going to be a national party, the way things are going. I think we're going to have two regional parties -- again.

Florida south of I-10 (and especially the three satanic counties in the Southeast) are Yankee Florida. You don't start seeing confederate flags until you get north of Whore-lando.

I THINK WHAT MAKES THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAR SO UNPOPULAR IS WHEN IT IS DISPLAYED NEXT TO THE NAZI FLAG AT SELF-HATE MEETINGS. PLUS I HOPE I'M WRONG BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY TYPE OF CONFEDERATE FLAG FLOWN ON ANY SLAVE-HOLDING PLANTATION OF THE PICTURES TAKEN DURING THE CIVIL WAR/WAR OF NORTHERN AGGRESSION.
