I'm disappointed not to see any of your own thoughts on this as I know and value your razor intellect. So, my feeble attempt to drag you into open commentary based on your original post would be this....

Do you see this as endemic of basic human nature, fundamental evil at work, or a combination of the two? What defines a deliminator of the two, if anything?

Yes, I have the new Gillette Track 3 safety-razor intellect. It's handy, but the blades are awfully expensive.

I haven't commented mainly because, what could I say that wouldn't be preaching to the choir?

Well, perhaps some don't share my opinion that Islam is a creation of Satan. His fingerprints are all over it, but since he didn't sign it, millions of people accept it as a legitimate religion.

For me, this issue is just one more illustration that Islam is on the other side of the good/evil divide, and there will be no "peaceful coexistence" (remember that?) with it over the long term.
